The former Mine
Captain's house. I believe that him and his family were the only ones to
actually live up at the mine, the miners would do a daily treck up from
their cottages in Angneash or Laxey, way below down the valley, before
decending by ladders down to over 1,000 ft below ground at the deepest
depth of the mine.
