For this next
panoramic 'slice', I'm down on the beach and looking at the Lapetus Suture
(the quartz line on the cliff). This is where two ancient land masses collided,
to the left is Laurentia which contains present day North America and Scotland,
to the right is Avalonia, which contains present day England.
