Island Images - The Isle of Man in Pictures
Looking down on the former washing floors. The mined ore would arrive on the mine railway (restored on the right) and be tipped down the stone chutes for breaking and processing. The finished product went down to the harbour on a tramway and the spoil removed through another tunnel by the river.
