This panorama
was shot from overhead the old railway line west of St John's Station.
The line actually split on the far side of the station, where the train
from Douglas was then divided into separate Peel and Ramsey sections.
The trains sometimes departed together, with a 'race' towards where the
lines split on the Peel side of the village. The site of St John's station
can be seen as a tarmac car park.
