A visit yesterday afternoon
to the Spooyt Vane waterfall. All the pictures here were taken in
low light levels using a tripod with very slow
shutter speeds. Multiple
exposure bracketed shots were taken for each view, with between three and
five images combined later
on the computer to give
the required balanced final picture due to the high contrast between the
water and surroundings.

A brief 'window' opened
in the weather this afternoon not long before sunset, when there was a
pause between the gales and torrential rain of this
morning and the overcast
drizzle and strong winds of late afternoon. The pictures were taken
from my front upstairs window.

Some Aerial photography
at two locations on the Marine Drive yesterday afternoon. I felt
that my usual 16:9 picture format didn't suite some of
the pictures, so larger

Happy New Year!
Just a quick final post
of 2018. I do hope that you have enjoyed the pictures this year,
I've had a quick count up and the statistics are as follows, 2017 totals
are in brackets. 'Isle of Man' pictures added: 1,405 (1,344)
of which 797 were Aerial (772). Railway pictures: 607 (143) and Aircraft:
156 (100).
Finishing with an aerial
picture I rather liked from August, it's Bulgham Bay looking to the north.
Many thanks again to Mr & Mrs Quilleash for letting me fly from their
land and indeed suggesting I fly from another location owned by them!
Wishing all visitors a peaceful and prosperous New Year and hoping that
you come back again for many more site visits in 2019.
